Have some questions?

  • Somatic coaching differs from somatic therapy in that it focuses on forward-looking personal growth rather than processing trauma.

    While somatic therapy often involves delving into past experiences to heal, somatic coaching is oriented toward action and self-discovery.

    However, this work is healing in nature, and can facilitate powerful nervous system transformation, but our conversations focus on the present and future, instead of the past.

    Overall, somatic coaching empowers you to build resilience and nervous system regulation as you challenge yourself to move beyond perceived limitations and create new possibilities.

  • This has become a buzzword lately for healing trauma! But somatic approaches have a broader application.

    The word somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning "body." In practice, somatics refers to the study and experience of the body from within. Rather than seeing the body as separate from the mind or just a vessel for movement, somatics treat the body as an integrated, intelligent system that holds sensations, emotions, and memories, all of which shape how we experience ourselves and the world.

    In somatic work, the focus is on tuning into bodily sensations, postural patterns, and nervous system states, to understand and shift underlying emotional, mental, and energetic states. By becoming more aware of these sensations and learning to regulate the nervous system, individuals can access deeper insight, release stored tension, and cultivate a sense of grounded presence.

    Somatics offer a pathway to connect with the body's natural wisdom and healing capacity, creating a foundation for well being, confidence, resilience, and authentic self-expression.

  • Somatic coaching is process oriented, and while incredible shifts can take place in each session, the full results unfold when adequate time is given.
